» Welcome to the new website for Welwyn Garden City Angling Club. |
Welwyn Garden City Angling Club was formed in 1946 and we originally started out just fishing from the River Lea. Then in 1970 Stanborough Lakes was made, where the club participated in forming the lakes. Since then we have gone on to accumlate additional waters like Holwell Court and Bayfordbury aswell as a nice stretch of the River Lea. The club itself has in excess of 400 members and to this day we continue to grow every year.
As a club our aim is to give the best angling experience that we possibly can to all of our club members alongside many non club members that visit our waters each and every day. We like to consider ourselves as not "just another angling club" but we're also community who will do thier upmost to support and promote the interests of this sport alongside protecting the local environment.
